The Cottages

If you wander down Avon Lane in New Edinburgh, you will surely find yourself transported to a quaint village in the English countryside: Charlesfort drew inspiration from a row of Arts and Crafts "cottages" designed by British architect C.F.A. Voysey (1857-1941). Tiny front gardens behind low stone walls with iron gates and laterns lead to front doors tucked away from the elements. The interior spaces however, provide all the comforts of modern living on three levels. Large balconies overhanging the garages in the rear courtyards provide outdoor living space just off the kitchen-as well as an opportunity to get to know one's neighbours!.
