The Annex

What was once the kindergarten playground of Crichton Street School now houses a small community park and a row of 5 townhomes. The exterior of the new building mimics the school: arched entrances, stone base, lintels and sills, light red brick and a corniced flat floor. The ultra modern interior of these homes was nonetheless inpsired by the 1874 school: the main living level is unencumbered by walls and its 11' ceiling height and tall windows are a strong reminder of the classroom next door.
