The original three-storey brick home at 57 First Avenue was situated on a very deep lot which backed onto the NCC property along Patterson Creek. The house was completely renovated to form two semi-detached homes, a courtyard was created behind the house and two new semi-detached houses were constructed at the rear of the property, facing the canal. This was the first of several similar projects undertaken on neighbouring lots.
This project received a design excellence award from the Ottawa-Carleton Home Builders Association.
